Grrrr....Fortunoff Registry!!!

I am so angry. The price of our silverware has gone up twice in the past two weeks!!!!! It seems like every time I check our registry, the price of something has gone up. I picked Fortunoff because they had a good price on my china, and a very competitive price on my silver...The price has now gone up almost $50 per place setting...What the heck!?!?! I also just checked our crystal, and Bloomingdales is $13 less per glass! Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

Is anyone else having this problem?!?!

How much has been purchased off your registry? I would switch some stores around. Let me tell you, BBB has been the best ones so far in every aspect!!! I feel the same way, like I don't want others to pay too much for something. LOL
Good luck, that really stinks. I didn't like Fortunoff at all, but they do have some nice stuff

Ugh I'm sorry. Maybe they realized their prices were lower than others. That's so annoying...I'm sorry.

The price of my Waterford has gone up, but I think that was a Waterford thing and not a store thing.

SHop around...if you see better prices elsewhere...move some stuff around! Sorry!!!

It might have been on sale when you registered??
I happened to have a good experience with Fortunoff - My place settings were 109 and then the 2 weeks before my engagement party they went on sale for 78 and I got all of them. They seem to have competetive prices with everyone and I noticed if Macys runs it on sale so does Fortunoff. They are far from me is the only downside but most people used the Internet and I am registered at Linens n Things for another option.

I did and noticed that some of my things are now more expensive than I thought they were.

Also, if you registered for Waterford, the company raised the prices.

I already have a registry at Bloomingdales (for FH's family because they're in Boston and don't have Fortunoff). I think I'm just going to move everything to Bloomingdales...Soooo frustrating!!!

I'd been registered there for almost 4 months before the prices went up, so I don't think it was a sale. It's so annoying because it's EVERYTHING, not just the Waterford stuff that's going up.

My china has gone up 20 dollars a setting. I was told by a sales person that it would be on sale through the end of July. When I told the bridal registry the lady just shrugged at me.

Waterford had an across the board increase in china prices about 6 weeks ago.

The problem I'm having with Fortunoff is the weekly list of discontinued items on my registry. I almost need to start all over again.

The prices of the items I registered for haven't changed much and nothing there has been discontinued (knock on wood!)

I chose to register there because at the time, they were offering the china I liked at half the price it was at Macy's.

They do honor competitors prices though!

yup, my china went up (at BB&B and fortunoff), i was just complaining to FMIL the other night about it, it has gone up over $30 within the past year depending on the item, and i feel like no one is going to spend $100 for a place setting or $160 for one platter. She thinks i should leave it and that someone may buy it still or that me and FI can buy whats left after the wedding

I noticed our fine wine glasses went up about $5 each - that's a lot per glass...but we already got 8 of the champagne flutes, and love the design, so we probably won't change.

My silver went up in price as well, like 40.00 a set and when I questioned it I was given a very technical answer about the cost of the silver going up and the increases were from the manufacturer, the sales associates were very nice about and they seemed to be sympathetic but really when the manufacturer raises the price they have to raise the price as well, I am a sales rep for a bedding company and while it is frustrating for us brides I understand the store side as well. If it was something done by the manufacturer then the price should be raised across the board at all stores.
