so i spilled coffee on my bb and now it is not working... cr@p i am soooo mad... as now i do not have any $$ to buy a new phone and i am not eligable for any upgrades :(( grrr

dropping my berry in toilets is my MO..... take the battery out and cover everything (blackberry, battery) in dry rice overnight.... next day it will work like new!
ETA: the rice draws the moisture out of the small parts

ita - Fh did that with his BB and it actually worked!
Also - do you have insurance on the phone just in case you cant fix it?
eta: you can put the bb w/ the battery taken out in a sealed ziplock bag w/ dry rice
