grrrrr setback! mini vent

One of my neighbors who offered to watch one of my dogs while we're in NY for the wedding just backed out! He offered in April...and now says he has a fishing trip! He offered to bring him along, but tere's no way my dog would behave on a weekend long fishing trip.


Back to the drawing board! Oh, and did I mention I have another dog who is soooo hyper 2 different couples have declined watching her! So now I have to find people to watch BOTH my dogs. Its times like this I really HATE not having family here in Chicago!

Boarding them would be a last resort, I would hate to do that to them for 6 days!

Ok, vent over! Just had to let that out!

Ugh that sucks!

I have the same problem. I have no choice but to board my younger hyper dog. My parents have cats and she gets nuts w them. They cant handle her. :(

Thanks guys! I am still hoping that an old work friend will watch both of them. I had been slowly convincing her to watch the more hyper one (Daisy). She has always liked Fez...so I am hoping she'll say yes! Her condition is that I bring them over for an hour and leave them there to see how they get along with her dogs (2 really spoiled poodles).

I did ask my vet and he said he's board them at his office...but admitted they would be in the cage almost all of them time and alone after 7 PM! that sux!!!!

I wish I could bring them with me to NY..but I can't.
