GRRRRR...Bureaucracy!!!!!!

I cannot figure out for the life of me how to find an OBGYN within the National Health Service!!!!

their 'categories' of doctors are different...so instead of pediatrics, or gynocology, they have things like Women's Health, Mother and Child care, etc, etc. But I'm not sure where exactly gynocology would fall and I can't seem to find any explanations for what each does!

I feel liek such an idiot, but I really think government agencies don't take into consideration those who did not grow up with the system!!!

Do they list them under 'lady parts doctor' or doctor of lady parts'?

That's weird, could you ask someone in your office?

My guess would be that Womens Health is for gynecologists only 9not OBs) and Mother and Child would be an OB/GYN.

Then again, logic and bureacracy don't usually go hand in hand!

Thanks guys. I'm emailing a friend. DH is pretty much clueless! and I don't really think my MIL would be of much help - after all the woman pees in the woods!

I would guess general Women's health, but yeah, it is best to ask a British chic.
