Grrrrrrrr

Grrrrrrrr

FMIL may be the death of me!!! Today's newest is that she bought her dress..would be good bur it's black!!! That's the color of the MOH...she knew this....plus moms should not wear black, it's a wedding but guys in her eyes it's a funeral. She just hates me....the second thing is she is withholding her list with addresses just to annoy me...AND she will not give her final ok on the invite wording***...She has to realize this is happening with or without her

***keep in mind my guests think they are coming to my engagement party and we are going to surprise them about an hour into the party with a wedding reception. We wanted this so we didn't have the drama of everyone telling us what to do and how they want it...we told the parents out of respect and now FMIL has told her whole family bc she feels we are being deceptive, and I cannot Write engagement party on my invite bc SHE doesn't want it.....I am so mad right now I am shaking, I just wanna cry....

Sorry I just needed to vent

I'm sorry but I am a Biotch..her guests just would not be invited. I would tell them you didn't get an invite b/c (insert FMIL's name) did not give me a list.

Girl I wish we didn't....my mom has been great and my whole side is still in the dark about it. My mom knew it wasn't her secret to tell....his mom....not so much, I mean she has always been evil but she is taking it to new levels now!!!

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I know what it's like to have a MIL that drives you crazy. I didn't even get to see my MIL's dress until the day of the wedding. I told her no navy, black, or brown. She comes back telling me it's a navy dress. I ignored it and just didn't even ask to see the dress bc I thought I'd get mad. Turns out, it was the SAME EXACT color as my mom's dress!!!!! For some reason she thought her daughter was getting married again and treated it like that! If there is someone out there that has a GREAT MIL hold on to her and thank her every day because it's very rare.

As for her not giving an invite list, talk to FH and tell him 'she has until this date or I'm sending out the invites with or without her list and then it's all on her'. And as for the wording, it's your invite, word it how you want and if she doesnt' like it or won't even give her opinion then move on and do what you want. My MIL did a lot of 'don't do that' or 'it's not time for that' or 'I don't like that' or 'I need to add people to the invite list' or 'they won't come' so I learned too late in the wedding planning to ignore her, and do what made me and DH happy. As long as you have FH on your side, it'll be ok.

And if it's not ok, I'm sure the LIW will help you hide the body!

If you feel that she is being 'evil' about things now, don't ask for her input anymore. If she refuses to approve the wording and you are trying to send them out- then send them and tell her you couldn't wait anymore- dont let her ruin your day!!!!

what does FH say about her behavior?

I didn't tell him about being upset about the dress...why fight with him...hedid send me a spy photo of the list bc he seen it by her computer lol. Fh is so laid back he just wants me to be happy....she is not putting in input by my choice but the invite wording is a big deal to her....I sent her tons of sample wording and now just waiting for the response. I think I will just avoid her for the next 7 weeks! Lol thank you for your advice!!

same with me.. but when my FMIL told me she's just going to wear black I think my jaw dropped! I could careless honestly though she's going to make her self seem stupid for not wearing something 'special' that day.. I could go on about my FMIL putting her 2cents into alot of things with us & our son! & now the wedding

If you need help with finding vendors I could recommend some of mine definately!! :)
