grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..damn bm

Ok so i really can't take this anymore...one of my bm's (one i really wasn't sure if i wanted in the bp in the first place) still needs to order her dress (by march 1st) and did not leave a deposit so they won't order it, and then she has been complaining about not having money and how my bachelorette party is costing alot...well two days ago i find out she gets a $200 tattoo!!!!! why in the world would she do this before ordering the dress and then complain about not having money on top of it..its crazy! and when i first asked her to be in my bp i flat out told her..if she couldn't financially handle the responsibilities i would understand and she didn't have to say yes..well she yes's me to death saying money wouldn't be a problem, and now shes pulling this crap..sorry i just needed to vent! advice would be greatly appreciated! tia

ugh its such a shame that BM seem to be such a problem for everyone...me included, these are supposed to be our best friends! i dont get it! Im sorry you are going through that!

If I had money for every time this happens I would be able to afford a platinum wedding! Do girls not know that these things are part of being a bridesmaid and if you cannot handle it financially don't be in it!!!

Why are people so freakin rude???! I am sorry you are going through this, no bride should have to worry about her BP they are supposed to be supportive!

Have you said something? I would be like nice tatoo, um I thought you couldnn't afford the dress???

Sorry this is happening- it's just so frustrating!!
I put out $$ to pay the deposit & order all the BM dresses. I did this in Nov. and still haven't received the $$ from 2 of my girls. I trust them enough that by the time the dresses come in (Feb 8th) they will give me the $$.

Sooo, I think if the dress REALLY needs to be ordered and your either willing to lose that deposit (should she back out) or you trust that she will give it to you... then I would put it out myself. It's a sticky situation though and unfortunate that BM's have to do this...

Kristin, let her know that if she doesn't put a deposit on the dress soon than they are ordering without her and she's can no longer be in the BP. Let her know you completely understand being broke (I mean wedding and house and puppy in the same year!!! LOL) and if the bach. party costs are too much for her she shouldn't feel pressured to come... maybe you can suggest that the two of you or you and your BP do a dinner night that she would be able to come to.

Don't be afraid to tell her that it kind sukcs that she's crying poverty but spending money on tattoos... you're not judging her, you just don't understand why she made a commitment to you but really isn't committing at all.

PS... how is your pupper!?!?

I say go with this plan of action! Its upfront and honest but then you are also pointing out her tattoo....I think all brides have to remember how much of a financial responsibility it is for the BP...and be somewhat understanding, but the fact that she spent it on something else so frivolous is not cool....
