GTG - Saturday, April 28, 2007 @ Betsy's House (You're all more than welcome to bring your wedding albums/videos/etc to show off and share!)

I'll take initiative here, since well, I would be honored to throw a GTG at our new home to spend an afternoon and evening with my lovely ladies.

So, I was thinking a weekend b/c we'd have more time to sit around and talk without having to worry about costs (for those of us who are new homeowner's or in the process of buying) or being kicked out of a restaurant for staying late.

So, what works for all of you?

Oh, I guess I should add that I live in Port Jefferson Station close to Rte 347.

Okay, so based on people's responses, let's make it Saturday, April 28, 2007. Let's make the party start around 4pm and if people want to come later, they can, since I'm sure we'll be around ALL night!

So, who's definitely coming and what are you bringing to share?

PS 1: It's okay to bring wedding albums, videos, etc, since I know more of us may have that stuff come the end of April.

PS 2: Send me an FM if you're coming, so I can send you directions.

No worries. One dip is spinach and one dip is a garlic dip - THERE IS NO CHEESE IN MY DIPS! I HAVE CHEESE-LESS DIPS!

Liza isn't coming and she's the only LIW bride I know who is a vegan. I think you should be safe - plus there is SO much food being brought, that there will be plenty to go around.

The basket is ready to go!!!!!!! There are 2 different types of nonpareils, jumbo raisinets, white and milk chocolate pretzels, big gummy bears, cashews and smoothie flavored jelly beans. I had to forego the sour gummies because we ran out of room in the basket (Betsy gets a nice wicker basket out of the deal). I just wish I could get more candy for the money. If I were rich, I would have done a basket double the size, with sour gummies, gummy alligators, gummy hearts, gummy lobsters (because I find that to be a funny idea) and more chocolate covered stuff (but the chocolate covered potato chips seem odd to me). They also have chocolate covered babies (that's what the sign said).

Let's make this the longest GTG THREAD EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dips - done

I also realized that I made so much dip and there wouldnt be enough bread for it. So I bought veggies and did a lil crudite. Lots of damn veggies, my hands smell like bell peppers. If there are left overs, Bob and Betsy will have one hell of a good stir fry.

Dips - done

They looked like maybe they were gummie bears covered in chocolate.

Is there anything kinda bland to eat? I'm not reacting well to very much at the moment but I have a feeling I will eat it and pay later!!!! Anyone else want me to bring Saltines?

Kerie, saltines & ginger ale (flat) should work &/or ginger if you have it (like they give you w/ sushi)...

someone also told me peanuts or other protein (but I never tried it)
