I am way below my guarantee!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like at least 20 - maybe even 30 people below. Has anyone else been really far off, what did they do??? We didnt even have that many people say 'No' we had a lot of people that we invited with a guest coming solo.....I know i cant do anything about it but it really stinks!!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear that! I would contact your banquet manager and explain the situation, maybe they can throw in some extras and freebies, you'll still have to pay the $ for the minimum but at least you'll have something to show for it.

I've tried to warn ppl latley of this. I am guessing we are about 20 off too. Luckily we are over the current gaurentee which is we pay for 100 no matter what. I give my final gaurentee on the 29th. Originally we thought we would be around 150 now we are looking at maybe 125. Ask for extras.

we are below, not way below but below! it stinks it really does! we had a lot of unexpected no's and a bunch coming solo that we figured would bring a date! i feel your pain! dont stress it tho! the important people will be there! maybe you can talk to the RH and see what they can do for you!

I am in the same boat as you. We are going to be at least 25 people under our min if not more. I called and spoke with the banquet manager at our RH and he said 'we'll cross that bridge when we get to it' meaning when I submit my final numbers. I am hoping they are gonna throw in a few extras but I know we're gonna have to pay for those people not matter what. We've also started inviting a few extra people (teenage kids of relatives attending and some friends who understand the situation). We've filled in 6 spots like that already.

We had the same issue (also because of people invited with guests showing up solo) and our RH let us use vendors and children towards our minimum -- so like 2 vendors and children counted as 1 adult for our minimum. This was super nice of them and we wound up not paying anything extra.

We had the same thing, inviting people with guests and them coming alone. Luckily we've met our minimum, but we def should have factored them not bringing people. I would ask if you can use the money towards other things, you might be pleasantly surprised at what you get in return.

i have a feeling we might be or cutting it really close..im so sorry and i know it stinks but u r going to have plenty of peeople there who will help u guys celebrate
maybe the rh will throw something in to make up the diffrence

Have you contacted everyone that hasnt rsvp'ed yet? i had the same problem i was at 170 last week and we guaraneed 250, then we made a few calls and we are now at 270! i couldnt believe how many people didnt rsvp and are actually coming. good luck.

If you end up being really off, like 20-30 people, I would ask for MAJOR upgrades---
-Cocktail Hour -- upgraded hors de hourves (raw bar?) - our RH automatically provides top shelf liquor, but if yours doesn't, def ask for that -see about something extra, like a chocolate fountain or candy bar, ice sculpture -maybe add a Venetian Hour? -ask for additional entree selections
