Jessica ~ thank you!

Trish ~ I was supposed to go back on 2/23, which was 15 weeks of leave.

Teri ~ I can take up to 2 years. I get paid for as many sick days as I had banked (for me it was 60 days, but it worked out to 15 full school weeks with vacations and holidays), and the rest is unpaid. After the end of the first school year I am guaranteed a position in my school, but not necessarily the one I left. After the second year, I am guaranteed a job in my district, but not necessarily my school.

YAY Jenn!!! My 4 full-time months with Sean were awesome!!!! I'm so lucky that working PT is going well for us. I don't know how you FT working mommies do it.

This is so true! I am dreading if I *have* to go back to work! The only reason, at this point that would make me, is dang health insurance and the skyrocketing costs!

That's right - my cousin did the same thing. She took a LOA for 2 yrs and just returned last Sept.

I can't believe you have banked 60 DAYS of sick time!!! We only get 10 days a year and I thought that was a lot!! I guess they expect you to catch all those colds little kids get each year?!

In any case, that is wonderful for you - enjoy every minute of your time off!
