GUESS WHAT???

GUESS WHAT???

Tonight was the first night in about a month or so that Paul went to sleep without ANY crying!! I am so proud of my boy! We had bathtime, bottle, storytime and when Daddy put him in the crib, he hugged his Clifford (the big red dog) pal, pulled his blankie over himself and got comfy without crying!

DH and I are shocked, but soooo happy!

How exciting. I remember you were having some difficulties with the whole bedtime thing...glad it seems to be working out.

Thanks everyone! It is gratifying, to say the least! We've been wondering when our efforts to keep Paul's 'routine' consistent were going to pay off. It's so nice to see that when you try really hard to be consistent w/them, they do appreciate the predicability of their days - it really does create security for them.

Deb - NOT ready yet! I will fill you in more when I see you

Re: GUESS WHAT???

wow claud- I was just thinking about you last night regardin gthis. I am trying to do 'ferber' as well andit's heart wrenching to hear them cry in there...

It works the best when Julianne's is about to fall asleep...is nodding off and then I place her in the crib.
so far so good...altho she has started to wake up at night. She is working on popping some teeth!

Re: GUESS WHAT???

Thats great !! What a relief ! Its really heartbreaking to hear them cry.

JA's little 'thing' lately is that he wakes up at about 6am(7-7:30 is his 'real' wakeup time) Well at 6am he'll almost whine-cry in his sleep (half asleep half awake??) for about 2-3 minutes and fall right back asleep without either of us going in... Its happend quite a few times already.

If its after 7am and he's laying there entertaining himself. (Usually I go make his bottle, brush my teeth 'get myself readY' for about 15min b4 I go get him. and even if he hears my footsteps going AWAY from his room and not TOWARDS his room.
'AHHHHHHH AAHHHHHH' (COME GET ME !!!!!!)

ITs like WE have to master the life that THEY lead and they have to teach US a thing or 2 about how and when to do things...

Somehow we get it right, sooner or later !
Good job mommy
