I can't believe it actually happened! My boyfriend or actually 'finace' proposed to me yesterday morning. It feels so great!! I can now officially start the planning and booking and all that wonderful stuff. We were on our way to get pics taken, but he wanted the ring to be in the pics also, so he proposed before we did them. We were originally suppose to go out to dinner but he said he couldn't wait all day. So now the pics were took are our engagement photos. I have figure out how to post pics - I want to show all you ladies my 'rock' and our engagement pic. Let see..........

Thanks ladies for the big welcome!!!!!! I can't wait to begin this journey and get ALL of you ladies advice about EVERYTHING!! I've addicted to this site for months.
I don't know why it came out blurring, I'm still trying to figure out how to put pics on. Anyway, we didn't set an exact date yet but we want to be married sometime July/Aug. '03.
I called my mom to tell her and she was so estatic and happy for me, then she said 'it's about time!!' LOL. When I told my sister, she went balistic and says 'finally, we can start shopping and planning!'. We then went to see his parents, which they already knew, and they broke out the champagne and celebrated and welcomed me into their family. What an exciting day it was. I then had a Christmas party last night to go to and everyone their was so excited for us and congratulated us.
I'm one of those impatient type - I've already started looking at gowns and halls online, I pretty much know what I want. I want an elegant and classy wedding with the theme of Disney (Mickey and Minnie) I ordered the new Lenox Minnie topper- I can't wait to get it!
I'm going to take a pic of my ring today and post. It's a platinum round solitaire - 1.22ct, it's so clear and sparkly, I just can't help not to stare at it. It's gorgeous!!!!!

July or August will be awesome! Start looking at halls yesterday because MANY get booked fast and that is a popular time. I think a 7-8 month engagement is perfect. I did a year and two months but if I were to do it over again, I would have pulled it together sooner. Congrats again! Great pic and have a great time planning.
