We dont know if it's one of the neighbor's and it came to visit But its the cutest thing !!!
It was in the skimmer (the square openings on the sides of the pool where the water filters through). It was just sitting in there !!
I'd like to keep it ! (If it doesnt belong to anyone - we're going to ask )
So where do we keep him? (so he doesnt escape) What do we feed him?
Im so excited, we might have a new pet !

Re: Guess what took a dip in the pool ???
I love them Anna! At my MIL's in the yard, there is a huge turtle that walks around!
Ask the pet store if you can take him, about the kind of turtle he is and ask them how to proceed with caring for him

Re: Guess what took a dip in the pool ???
I had a turtle when I was little that ran away - think it could be him? LOL
The one I remember most is the one that I got in college (inherited from my grandma who had like 6!) - my college roommate built him a shelter out of cardboard boxes (like form the grocery store) and I must say she was very creative. We gave him a little pool of his home using a low and not deep bowl. We feed him mostly lettuce and grapes (cut up in tiny pieces) from what I remember. He looked like a happy turtle. My grandma use to keep her 6 in one of those hard plastic baby pools in her apartment.

Niecey, how does a turtle run away?
Answer- VERY slowly
Ok, I'm in a strange mood today, and I have to go to work! Watch out!!

Re: Guess what took a dip in the pool ???
Don't worry Lisa W - we thought it was the strangest thing that our turtle ran away!! we had tons of our own jokes about it. The first one that ran away we had in our backyard and we kind of just surrounded him with some loose fencing - so he found a whole and made his move. My second one (my college turtle) - my friend took him home for summer break (she loved the turtle much more than I did) and she built him something in her backyard and somehow he also escaped - guess it wasn't too secure. Only me would have 2 turtles run away on them!
