Did you check if the school was acredited? Were there more then one to choose from?

Congrats Maxine! I agree with dm24angel--definitely check to see if the school is regionally accredited. If not, they can basically just sign a piece of paper, take your $, and the degree won't be worth the paper it is printed on (think the schools you get bulk emails from daily...). Also check and see the placement rate/career advisors that they have helping to make sure students have jobs once they graduate. All of the planners I met here from recommendations and online mostly learned from experience, and didn't have a degree in the area. I also worked in event planning in the White House and didn't have a degree in event planning, and no one else did either...Good luck! Sounds like a great way to stay with your son and get advanced in your career!

It was a great time! We planned a bunch of state dinners, and the NATO 50th Anniversary Summit (among other events). It was wedding planning x100.
