one of fhs friends is actually in the process of becoming a priest in the catholic church-were doing everybody +1, but should we do this for him as well? he cant date right?

err i wouldn't. +1 is for dates, and if you can't date then it's kind of in bad taste. maybe this is a more exaggerated situation, but we're not doing plus one for a widow (young person).

Yeah I have to agree I don't think he needs to bring a friend... and he's definitely not bringing a date...

I wouldn't invite him with a plus one. I'm assuming he's not in a relationship anyway...so just invite him alone.
