We are getting married at Marina del Rey in October and have family coming from staten island, new jersey, and connecticut. im worried about people driving so we were going to hire busses to drive from each state to marina, but now are considering a hotel.
i know there is not much around there unless you go to new rochelle or queens, but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or had done something similar?

Theres a howard johnson on southern Blvd. by east tremont ave. and another by yankee stadium I cant think of any right now but if i do i will let u know

Near LaGuardia airport might not be a bad idea if they are flying in and you are providing transportation . HTH

I would recommend the Radission in New Rochelle-It is really close to the Bronx and it is one of the nicest hotels near by...There is also a really cute Bed and Breakfast on City Island:

You're probably better off finding a hotel not so close to Marina del rey...as others suggested, look into westchester or the Fairfield Inn LaGuardia Airport/Astoria (45-20 Astoria Blvd South, Astoria, New York 11103, Phone: 1-718-267-0008)
You might also look into the AmeriSuites in Whitestone, very close to the Whitestone Bridge
