I will be a guest for a destination wedding in a few weeks?
Where can I get a dress that is 'beach chic attire'?
for not that much?

Try rent the runway! You can sort the dresses by occasion and I believe that destination/beach wedding may actually be on there as a category!

I second this. Also, if you live anywhere near the Roosevelt Field Mall, there is a new shopping center called the Gallery and it has a Bloomingdales Outlet Center in it. I got 2 GORGEOUS hi-low dresses and a maxi skirt from there that i love- the dresses were in the 50-60 range so they are good prices too :)

I bought a dress for my sister's destination wedding at TJ Maxx. It's hit or miss but when you hit, you get great deals
