I just went to a wedding this past Friday and it amazed me how some people were dress. It was a formal wedding and people were casually dress. One person had capri's on. Is their a notation that needs to be made on the invite that the event is Formal and not a BBQ?

I agree, I went to a wedding on the 4 and the bride and I were just standing there shocked at what people had on. They had on things I wouldnt even wear to a BBQ

Re: Guest Attire
Yikes!
You could write Formal attire on your invites.
OR Black Tie Optional
Depends on how dressy you want it to be.

I prefer formal attire. I would never go to a wedding casually dress.
Thanks

I'm nervous about this too....because of our venue. I don't want black tie but it is nice to see people dressed up!

Re: Guest Attire
I have been to many weddings where people are wearing flip flops and shorts, seriously, my FH or I would never be caught dead in that attire for a wedding or for any social event

Oh no!! I have never seen anything like that! Just when you think you have everything under control you have to worry about someone showing up looking like a slob....LOL

What is wrong with some people!! That would infuriate me!! I think you can add on your invite, formal attire at the bottom .. But not sure

Re: Guest Attire
i would rather have a guest in dressy capri's than jeans.. i guess i would just at that point try and see the bright side.. if not our hall is right on the water - i would hate to see anyone go swimming
