Guest Book Alternatives?

I don't want to do a traditional guest book. I was going to do one of those signing frames, but I was not on the ball with getting our engagement pic ordered, so I don't think there will be time for that. I want something fun and different. Thanks!

Re: Guest Book Alternatives?

I have seen posts here about a wedding platter where guests sign it then you have I think it enamelized (sp?) and can use as a serving dish in your home.
Also, there is the Martha wedding wishbowl which a number of LIW/NYW brides have done that I have seen.

Re: Guest Book Alternatives?

I like the polaroid idea... have someone take a polaroid of each guest/family or couple and then have it put in a book and they can write something under it if they want...

Ooh,Meg that is a REALLY cool idea -- I like that, a coffee table book that is a guest book -- can display...hmmm, you have my creative process brewing now.

Exactly! FH and I love photography and have our entire apt decorated w/ photos. I am going to put our 'guest book' into our coffee table book rotation.

Re: Guest Book Alternatives?

If we don't do the signing frame, I think we might do one of those gigantic bottles of wine and have guests sign in Gold Pen on the bottle.

Re: Guest Book Alternatives?

We are getting a book printed with all pictures of us through the years we've been dating, and will have our guests sign on the blank pages or around the photos... That way they have something to look at while they sign too

Re: Guest Book Alternatives?

We had a photo guest book. We bought a black photo album with black pages from Kolo, and had guests take their picture, mount it in the book, and sign by it with a white gel pen. It looks awesome, and is on our coffee table right now. The Kolo albums come in a bunch of colors, most of them have off white pages.

Re: Guest Book Alternatives?

i've also seen the frames--at Target. it's white paper and guest sign. you can put any pic in there for that day and then slide in a wedding one when you hang it on the wall!
