Hi all! I want to do a Polaroid type guest book. I am DIY-ing the albums to save some money but am wondering about the logistics/cost of doing Polaroids vs. a digital camera with one of those printing docks? Anyone have any other ideas or have friends with Polaroids we can borrow???! :) Thanks!

I did a polaroid book for my e party. I had someone ( my uncle) at the door taking the pictures of the guests. Then the person put the pictures in the book for me. He went to the first table and explained the book to them. He asked for the last person at the table to bring it to the next table and explain the process ... etc , erc .... It worked out really well. I has sort of a year book feel and people were looking at the pictures and were laughing it was an added bonus. You can get cameras at cvs and go to AC moore and get a scrap book and photo tape. You just have to have someone you trust in charge of putting the pics in the book for you.

Thanks..I actually got the scrapbooks at ac moore on sale and will get either photo corners or that photo tape, but our issue was the amount of money on the camera and film, which is why i asked about the different options..also, I like your idea of passing from table to table..something to think about..thanks!!

Beofer I got my digital camera, I loooved my Polaroid. I got it on sale at one of the drugstore chains for about $30, and I would watch for sales on film, whic come up every couple of weeks. You can usually buy a twin pack (20 pictures) and get a single pack of 10 free. The pictures end up costing about $1 each.

Whoah.. the printing docks take forever.. don't bother.. Honestly the polariod is simple, sweet and your guests all know how to use it.. I am doing the poloarid book. also.. its fun :) You can also get the polaroid book on ebay for about 20 bucks cheaper at times..

Thanks for telling me about the docks..i did not know that! I guess we have to start shopping around for the best price on cameras and film..i heard BJs type places are good...thanks!!
