guest books.....w/poll

Im torn and dont know if I want a guest book at the wedding.
How many of you had or are having a guest book of some sort at your wedding AND can you post pics of it?

ETA I should have rephrased the word 'guest book' I mean anything similar to a guest book. I know some of you are doing a large photo of you and FH and will have that signed, some 'well wishes'.
I was thinking of getting an over sized vase or something from Michaels and have pieces of paper on a table near the placecards and have people write a little somthing on that?
Thoughts on that?

We are doing wedding wishes instead - I have not put it together yet - IMO I would rather well wishes than just people's names in a book - I will look at the wishes again and probably never look at the guest book - JMO

My friend bought me a Lenox Wedding Guest book - so I will be using that, I had the same feeling about using one but WTH its nice to see later on sometimes.

I am still on the fence about this. I want to do a guest book because it's tradition, but whenever I think about it I think why would I want a book with peoples names and addresses when I allready know who I invited and their address. I am thinking about doing a wish bowl instead and making one of those books that Camacho had made to put my cards in from the wish bowl.

Hi We are not going to do the traditional guest book ~ we found a photo matt at Michaels that we loved (fh loved it 2) and we are going to buy some pretty pens and have everyone sign this and have our wedding picture in the middle!

My mother asked me not to, she said it reminded her of the book people signed at my brothers funeral. How do you argue that? So even though I was going to, now I'm not!

We are having a guest book and will use it as the basis for our new combined address book which we'll be compiling after we get home from the HM. Haven't found one yet though...

I'm torn. At first I felt like I HAD to have one. In the last couple of weeks I've changed my mind though. I'm not sure if I really want one anymore.

I didnt want just a plane old guest book or wish bowl because I feel like that stuff you read when the wedding is over and then put in the attic..

So I did a snapfish photobook that people signed around the pictures. That way, we can keep it on our coffeetable!

We decided not to - it's not that important to me and I don't see myself looking at it again. If someone gets me one, I'd use it, but I'm not going to spend any money on it!
