so one of my mom's friends has a very crazy work schedule .... she often cancels on things last minute because of her job.
i want to give the RH a final count and not include her in it but how do i do that if they're going to have the seating charts and place cards?
TIA

Re: guest counts question
well i don't know how your RH is. we had a guest that was a tentative yes just due to traveling and they werent sure if they were going to make it back in time. We told our RH and they were really cool and just didnt add that person to the final count so we didnt pay for them...We planned like he was going to be there so we made an escort card and had him in the seating chart. luckily he did end up making it...and i don't think we ever had to pay for him!

Re: guest counts question
We gave the 'final count' two weeks before the wedding. However, the day before the wedding we dropped off the guest name list & seating arrangements. The first thing my hall did was make sure the numbers where the same.
IMO: If she responded yes then count her. The last thing you want to worry about the day of the wedding is where the hall should squeeze her in. Plus if she ends up coming do you really want to have to carry her place card with you to the hall, meanwhile everything is ready to go.
