If you invite someone to the Engagement party should a invitation be extended to them for the wedding? Even if the wedding is a destination wedding.

Re: Guest Etiquette
I pretty sure etiquette states anyone that is invited to an engagement party or bridal shower must be invited to the wedding. HTH

I do agree there. We only had two small exceptions because they lived in the apartment of my aunts house who hosted the e-party.

yes, definitely. Why would you invite someone to celebrate your engagement but not to actually see you get married? If its a destination wedding and you think they won't attend, leave that up to them.

Yes, unless you are having a wedding celebration locally that you would invite them to instead.
My friend invited me to her shower for her destination wedding. I didn't get invited to the destination wedding but, I got invited to her wedding banquet later in the year.

That is what i am saying! I am trying to tell someone close to me that is getting married that this is the right thing to do! IMO you can't just not invite them to the wedding...you need to send a invite to them.

Yes, we invited someone to the e-party that I regretted after the fact because this person just really annoys me. I debated not inviting her to the wedding, but as proper etiquette I did.

I'm just curious. Why would you invite someone to the engagement party that you aren't planning on inviting to the wedding?

Yes, you need to send them an invite to the wedding if you send them an invite to the engagement party...same goes with a bridal shower.
Cause then it looks like you just want the gifts, but they are not good enough to be at the wedding...
