i have the same issue. People at work are like 'whats the date'? When i tell them , they say , ok let me write it down in my book!!! So, what do i do? I'm trying to cut my list from 230 down to 200. Does that mean i have to invite them??
You don't have to invite them! I get the same thing, when people ask me the date, I tell them, and then say that its a small intimate wedding. We guaranteed 125 and really hope not to go more than 130-140 Our invite list is about 175, but its very tentative right now.
I have people from working saying that too - I tell them the date and kind of slip in that it is a small wedding. I don't think they all get it, but I can't invite them.
We guaranteed 150, we're probably inviting a 200 - 210 and we're hoping only to have around 175, 180.

Our minimum is 150. (I think max is 170 for the room we're using). Our list is at about 178.

We guaranteed 150, the guestlist is at 290, and I hope no more than 225 show (I'd be MORE than happy with 150-200)
