Me and FH just sat down and finished our guest list. I was hoping to invite 100-125 people... needless to say I underestimated. We have 177 on the list.

Im scared to make ours. The eparty is 135 people and that is just immediate family and the bridal party. I am sure we will hit 250 easy, but I am hoping that only 200 come.

Not to worry! We have over 300 on ours but we have a feeling a lot won't make it and we have a 225min at the moment so do not stress - we are all in the same boat

We haven't thought about my side of the family but FH's list is 96 people- mine will easily be a hundred at the least. We wanted to invite 150 and for some reason, it always becomes much more than that.

Same here... when I first started making the list I figured 100... maybe 125. Well the list is up to 175 and in order to get to the minimum we guaranteed the RH, we may need to add more people to the list! Now... where do I find more people?

I think on avg. they say that about 20% of the people you invite say they cant come.

i had the same problem!! our list is at 265!! i couldn't believe it! my dad wants us to get us way down, but i don't know how... he's like stop making friends! hahaha

i've also heard that approx. 20% of the list won't come, but you never know. i guess it really depends on a lot factors, including the people you're inviting and when and where they have to go. i've heard of people inviting folks they SWORE weren't going to come and they made it!

Definately a good thing you guys decided to make up a list. Not to mention it will change 957935 times before the invites go out.

My Mom and I originally made 2 separate lists and then compared. I had 200+ and she couldn't believe it because she only had about 75 (family and work friends). Our lists combined are a little over 200, but we're estimating only about 150 b/c of a lot of out of towners!

We have a decent amount of people from out of town most are immediate family so I know they'll be there. Hopefully we end up with 150 or less... Now I have to start looking at RH's.
