What is the ratio of people you invited to the people who actually came to your wedding? I have to guarantee 200 and my list is almost 280 right now....just wondering...

Re: GUEST LIST
Every wedding is different. Our guarantee was 150, we invited 206 and quite surprisingly only 152 attended. Had 8 no-shows the day of. So, I had a 23% no rate, but a 73% attendance rate.
Your list right now : if 80 say no then you are at 29% no rate.

Re: GUEST LIST
If 20% decline, then you'll have 224 +/- attend.

Re: GUEST LIST
We invited 208 - 143 showed we guaranteed 150..we had it on a Thursday eve though. Just FYI.
If I invite everyone I put on my 'mock List' it is about 280...The prob is that we are paying ourselves and after figuring the total for about 225...we are really hoping to not go too much over that. I tried making and a and b list but the b list is only about 20 people. I am thinking I should just be brave and invite everyone right away...is that a BAD idea?

Re: GUEST LIST
I couldn't be bothered with a B list, just had DH cut some of his people when the list got out of hand. I cut 4 on my side, distant relatives that I don't really have contact with anymore. Got DH to cut 8 on his side, long story why, but he finally got the light when I said I wouldn't show up.

Re: GUEST LIST
We guaranteed 150, the list is currently at 305, and FH mom just said she wanted to add more people....did I mention she's not paying for it?? My parents are, they said absolutely not, and I told my parents paying or not, this is not a Jonas Brothers concert, I don't want all those people there. Alot of my family is overseas so they prob won't show but still I want to be sure. The room reaches capacity at 310...sigh

Re: GUEST LIST
Ratio can vary-we went thru out guest list and marked and counted those we KNEW were a definite yes, and did the same for the Most likely, the maybes adn the nos. For us it was pretty easy to do this.
I think they ratio of no responses is like 18% (not sure I didnt follow it) but it definitely varies depending on the date, holiday, big holiday, small holiday etc.
