So my wedding list is more than 275 at this point...and I really want no more than 200 people at the wedding. FH's family has proven to be so rude. Most of them didnt respond to our engagement party...and some that did...didnt even show up. I sent follow-up emails saying 'sorry you missed it' and not even a response...or a call to FH to reply. Do I have a good reason to start eliminating them? I'm sure I cant...but I'd love to have a good case to start chopping this list : )
Kill em' with kindness....invite them. If you guaranteed 200, you prob will need to invite at least 250-275, especially if you anticipate a certain number not coming.
wow 275!!! i found it hard to get my list to 125. i think the best thing for you to do is sit with FH & his parents & really review your list
thats a tough one...maybe sit FH down and see what his opinion is...cuz he might not really want some of those people any way and then you can together approach his family so it is a team effort and not just you being difficult!

I want to cut people off ours too. We have 155, I want 100-110
I think he's quickly getting the hint that I want them all off the list. He already cut his dad off...since he refused to come to the engagment party. The mom's family is really small...and they all came to the engagement party...so i dont have any issues with them. I suppose since his father is already off the list...we can easily start cutting his family!
