We invited my cousin's Aunt and Uncle and her kids to the wedding who are not related to us but are friends of the family through my cousin and her parents.
We hadn't planned on inviting their kids' girlfriends who they are both dating for over a year but neither of them are married or live together and my cousin's Aunt is upset that we didn't include the gfs on the invite.
Should they be receiving an invite? I've never met one of the gfs and our guest list is already out of control.
You have to draw the line somewhere and personally, I think she has no right to be upset about who is and who isn't invited to YOUR wedding. Inviting guests with guests is all up to the bride & groom.

I agree with 2013bride, there has to be a line somewhere. Do they have a dog walker that wants to come too? LOL if you've never met them I don't think they need an invite.

I think that ESPECIALLY if you haven't met them, there's no reason to invite them. I was invited to my cousin's (actually my mom's cousin's daughter) wedding without FH (before we were engaged). I can only guess that it was because she had never met him, and because they had invited a lot of people to begin with. I hadn't even thought of it as an issue.
Draw the line, and invite who you want to invite and don't invite who you don't. This woman doesn't get to dictate who gets an invite or not.

you're not loosing your mind. Explain that your guest list is out of control and if some cancellations come in, you'll let them know they can bring a guest. If that's what you would like to do. People are amazing when it comes to weddings, they feel they can tell the bride what they want.
I don't think you're being unreasonable. We're not inviting SO's for some of his cousins because they're not engaged/living together/married. We never met them and, frankly, we don't want to sacrifice our friends to invite so-and-so's boyfriend who may or may not be around in a few years. That's perfectly reasonable.

Thanks you have all made me feel better and less guilty for not inviting them. I have met one of their girlfriends on a few occasions at family parties, but not the other. They are in their early- mid 20s. The kicker is that one of them had a graduation party last summer and my parents and brother were invited but I didn't get an invite but I didn't care at all because I'm not as close to the boys.
