so i originally invited 220 - way more than what i wanted.
i get a call from my parents at work about if i can send an invite to another couple - ok fine
thank i went there yesterday and there like ok the total we want to add on is 6....ok
than before i leave there house it is 8 people!!!!
thank FH tells me that we need to add on another person
so now my guest list is at 229
we only paid for 150 and seriously cannot afford more than 170 and i know i will have way more than that FML

I know how u feel. I thought my guest list would not go over 150, it is at 215 and my family is only 12 adults and 2 kids. Fh keeps adding people or just sending out invites because he has the extra invites

Wow, those are about our numbers exactly. Except we might be up to 250 now. I don't think our room will even hold that many. I'll keep my fingers crossed for lots of NOs!

I know how you feel. My mom has been pulling that too, with the add on, don't worry they won't come, its just to be nice. Well, some of those people already booked the hotel rooms! And it's not so much the money I am worried about, cause I told them they are paying for add on's, it's the room at the RH, I don't want everyone to be squashed.
I seriously hate when people pull this crap at the last minute. My parents did that too and if this guy comes its gonna screw up the whole seating arrangement!

FH and I told each of our parents a few months ago that if the list continues to grow from where it was at a certain date, they will pay for the exact cost of those people (on top of what they've already put in). They can 'exchange' people in and out of guest list but unless they are ready to front the exact cost of the extra people (including RH cost, 1/10 of cost of centerpiece, since we'll need an extra table for 10, etc.), they can't add anyone!
This has made our parents think of adding additional couples as less money in their pockets.

fh pulled this crap on me last week i thought the list was 98 which was fine because our min is 125 then only to find out its really 161 due to fh forgetting to give me a list!!!! our budget is only for 125
we really are hoping for that 20% to say no. well, at least the people we really dont give a shiit about being there.lmao
