Re: Guest LIst Organization.....
Deff Excel! I have my guest list in categories - Mom side, Dad side, Family Friends, My friends/coworkers and then His mom's, his dad's, his family friends, his friends/coworkers. It just works easier for us that way.

Re: Guest LIst Organization.....
I used excel. Had columns for name, address, # invited, inner envelope addressing, STD card sent, RSVP card #, Yes RSVP response, No RSVP response, escort card labeling, table #, and gift. Also used formulas to keep track of how many people we invited, how many responded yes/no, and how many were still outstanding.

Re: Guest LIst Organization.....
I used wedding wire. It was easy to use, everything is already set up for you. Keeps track of bride's side/groom's side, gifts given, rsvps, bridal shower invites, e-party invites, seating charts, thanks you's etc. Its great plus you can upload pictures of things you find online that you like for inspiration, website, notes, the list goes on. Once the addresses are all typed in you can import them to excel or email to send to people (great for bridal shower). What I like about it is if you need to change anything you only have to do it once because FH can log in on his own pc, or you can access it from work etc if you want to look something up or change things or work on it things at work. This way no having to send each other updated files and stuff. Plus it also keeps track of all your vendor payments, when they are due and how much, vendor appointments and so on and your overall budget.
My favorite part is the seating chart, just click and drag into table settings that you can create.

This is what I used, it comes in really handy in the end for doing seating charts too!

Re: Guest LIst Organization.....
Excel. I have columns for first name, last name, address, phone number (when I have to hunt them down for their rsvp) and email. Then I have tabs to keep track of gifts and seating arrangements

Re: Guest LIst Organization.....
I created a spreadsheet on Excel. I divided the list up into my guests and DH's guests. I had columns for address, STD, invite, gift, etc. I was able to easily count how many people we were inviting through its equations. It allowed me to keep an automatic running tally as the RSVPs came in also. Then, we added up our gifts using the equations as well. Think it's the easiest to use!

Google Docs. It's like excel, except you can access and edit it wherever you have internet access and it's easier to share with other people.
