hey ladies, just looking for some opinions.. i have been at my job for about 4years. and most of people i work with i have become really good friends with. but we just hired 3 new people. now everyone i work with is invited to the wedding/shower. now it is rude that these three people arent invited? im already over the hall max . wont it be uncomfortable if these 3 people are left out? we all work pretty close together and my wedding is topic around the office of course. so i will feel bad if they arent invited, but i really cant invite them and dont really know them at all yet.. so im really confused
thanks

Re: guest list question
This is what I did. I have been working for this office for 4 1/2 years, Its a small office, I am inviting everyone that I have worked with from when I got engaged. There are 2 new people, and I am not including them. I think if they met you and you are already engaged then it should be understood that they will not be invited. I hope this makes sense.

Re: guest list question
I'm in this situation, too. I work with a lot of people. They all know I'm getting married and the newly hired people ask me too. I'm not inviting the new people and I'm only inviting a few of the people I work really closely with. Even though one of my coworkers gave us an engagement present (on his own, we didn't have a party or anything) he's still not going to be invited. I feel a little bad about that but the way I'm thinking is that I'm only inviting the people that I feel really close to and if I decided to change my job, the people I'm inviting are the ones I'd still want to stay in touch with.

Re: guest list question
we've had several people leave the last few months, and we're hiring a few new people in the upcoming weeks. I won't be inviting the new people, I'm not inviting everyone I currently work with either. Just my boss, and the people in my immediate department in total will be 12 if they each bring a guest. If I were to invite everyone I work with it would be over 100 people of just coworkers
