ok... So we are taking our epics tomorrow and will be sending out the std's at the end of Nov beg. of December.
FH's mom gave him her guest list yesterday and he flipped out. He said that she invited about 5 of her friends. That's not the problem, but he doesn't like that she invited them with guest when she isn't contributing anything to the wedding. Personally, I don't think it's THAT big of a deal cuz it's not like she's adding on another 30 people, it's just another 10. (haha.. JUST, that's sad). I feel like it's not really my place to say much because it's something between him and his mom. FH and I are paying for 80% of the wedding on our own with help from my mom and my Aunt.
Thoughts?

Re: Guest list question
10 is really not terrible, but i agree with you, i think your fh should be the one to bring this up with his mom
p.s. have fun at your e-pic session!

Re: Guest list question
Have your FH talk to his mom another 10 isnt all that bad, but I get where you are coming from! Are you planning on seding STD's out to everyone?
Enjoy your picture taking!

Re: Guest list question
i guess it depends on what type of relationship you have with your fmil.
if its not the kind where you can speak your mind without fh being there then maybe its best if you have him talk to her about it.
keep in mind.......this is only for std....who knows who she might want to add later on down the road for the invites
GOOD LUCK ON THE EPICS

Re: Guest list question
I get it.....it's 'just' ten, but another 'just' ten could be upwards of another $1500 or so. Let FH talk to his mom......if it were your family, I'd say you talk to them. But it's his place.

Re: Guest list question
I think FH needs to talk w/ them if this is a big problem for him. Maybe he can meet his mom halfway... like only inviting 'and guest' if the person doesn't know anyone else.

Re: Guest list question
I definitely wouldn't mind having the extra 10 people. I know both my parents and my FILs will be inviting a few friends on either side and NEITHER will be contributing to the wedding. FH and I are paying for the whole shabang ourselves. But if FH doesn't want it, then it's his place to talk to his mom.
