anyone worried that they won't make the number they guaranteed?

I invited about 175

130 yes's/45 no's...5 no shows

my minimum was 150 so i had to pay for that amount. but i was kinda happy i was under because i got the hall to throw in some stuff to make up the difference.

I know how you feel. We initially invited 170 and only 70 responded yes. So now, we mailed out more invites in the last 2 weeks to add up to 210 and we just have 107 coming - at least we finally reached our min.

we invited kind of a lot... but we invited everyone with a guest and a LOT of people aren't bringing guests. plus, i worked in a doctor's office for 5 years so i invited a few of the girls that i was very close to when i worked there, that i still keep in touch with. i really thought they'd be there. but so far, out of the 8 of them i invited, 4 have responded and they were 'no's'. and 2 of them (that haven't responded yet) were apparant no shows at my bridal shower. i know it's supposed to just be about FH and i, but it makes me really sad that some of the people who i really wanted there, won't be. we guaranteed 130... and i HIGHLY doubt we're going to make that. i was hoping for 150 but at this point, i'll be happy with the guaranteed amount. we only have 54 yes''s so far.

I know how you feel. what's happened with your friends, happened with us with my own family. I'm discouraged by it, and I admit it. I'm happy with everyone that is coming, but it Su*cks!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't planning on inviting anyone from work, and now I did - all of them. I invited some more LIW girls who have been wonderful to me over the last year with planning and support, and FH added a few friends, so our wedding will now be our friends and some family.

As for your number - when it comes to the nitty, gritty of it - the hall will work with you on figuring out if they can add stuff in, (extra food, chair covers, etc) to cover the fact that not enough people are coming.

i think 8 didn't show. If you want you still have time to invite some more people without thinking they were on a B list. I actually invited a few right before the wedding and they were fine with it..

It some how will all work out..

We were 25 under our minimum because some people came without their spouses, or guests and we had everyone from OOT. Don't fret about not making the minimum. Talk to your hall and negotiate!!!

FH's family's the determining factor... THey are all from out of town/state, so we thought they would all fly in(they normally do for these things), but no one has sent back the RSVP's yet

i know how you feel...my wedding isnt even here yet and i feel like we will get alot of NO's bc of the time of year or weather!

Yeah, it'll be a little tight as the room holds max 180 and we were assuming we'd get more no's...
