I will be inviting some people to my wedding with a Guest - not a gf or bf, just '& Guest'
Is it necessary to write that on the STD? Or can I just write that on the invitation?

I put it on the STD's for those who were getting an unnamed guest. I figured that's something they should know when saving the date. Especially those who wouldn't know anyone else at the wedding except FH and I.

Only on the invites. Unless in the case of a long term bf/gf or a couple who is engaged, it would be the right thing to include the others name in that case...

see now i have to agree with you on this... i think if you plan on inviting someone with a guest they should know that.. otherwise i think people might get offended thinking that t they werent invited with a guest... idk
