Guest transport to the hotel

Guest transport to the hotel

We didn't know how many people would be staying at the hotel so we didn't book transportation. Now I'm thinking we might want to offer something to the guests. (many are from NYC and might not have cars)

I really don't want to spend a lot - it's only a 5-10 minute ride to the hotel.

Any options out there that are not too pricey?

I also looked into this option and found the prices were WAY more than I bargained for. Some hotel offer free transportation or discounted deals, I would ask your hotel what they could offer you or suggest.

We were going to do this, but since ceremony and reception is in the city we decided not to. There is plenty of public transportation for them to get to downtown Manhattan. Public transportation may be there best bet due to the traffic conditions on the weekends along the Westside Hwy.

We didn't want to spend a lot on it either - My father found a company (garden city hotel and wingate recommended them) and they were reasonable (dad arranged it so don't what he paid) but they were MUCH better than other options - they are called Carizma.

I asked the hotel and they said no (the Long Island Sheraton has been a complete headache by the way so I'm not surprised at this)

Any other ideas? I know I really need to get something for the bridal party and so I figured I'd get something bigger for everyone else too.

Try calling a car service and see if they'll work something out with you. I know some of them have vans that do shuttles to airports, maybe you could get one for the wedding.

Contact the limo company you are using. Maybe you can work out a deal with them. Also, maybe the hotel you are going to use has shuttle service. We will be using the Holiday Inn in Hauppauge and they have complimentary shuttle service for our guests to the Watermill.
