So a lot of my guests will be staying in a hotel by my RH. The hotel provides a shuttle for up to 15 guests and the rest are on their own... The hotel told me they can credit what they pay for the shuttle for me to book a bus for the guests to take them back and forth to the RH, but the credit is next-to-nothing, so I would have to pay about $800 for the shuttle. There's plenty of parking at the RH, and it's about a 10-15 minute drive.
Both our families are drinkers and I want to make sure everyone gets back safely, but they're all adults and should know their limits... (and although their safety is more important than anything the $800 is not helping me with my budget).
What do you think we should do- is this our responsibility to take care of?? Would you consider footing the bill for a bus for your guests?? help!!!!

Re: Guest Transportation Help!!
How many above the 15 people are you thinking? Maybe instead of trading in what the hotel gives you for a bus you could just rent an additional van at a lower cost?

Re: Guest Transportation Help!!
I have a good number of guest staying in the hotel and I will definately try to figure out a way to get my guests to the hotel. even if it boils down to me getting them a way to the RH and then having people double up and split cabs to the hotel. and that's if i ABSOLUTELY cannot afford it. I'd much rather them all be safe. yes they are adults and should know their limits.. but thats also a bit scary. I also kinda feel like they wont have as good a time knowing they will have to drive for 15 minutes in an area they dont know. i know i would feel that way.

Re: Guest Transportation Help!!
Thanks for the answers so far girls... FH and I want to do it, but some friends and family don't think it's worth it and we didn't know what to think anymore!!!
We have 40 rooms blocked for now and we're inviting 96 guests. I can safely say that at least 30 of the 40 rooms will be booked, so that can be more than 60 guests.
