Re: Guestlist Question...
I'm using Excel. You can sort your colums so it's alphabetized.I also created a row for 'total guests' and put a Sum function in there so as I mark guests as coming, it automatically updates my final headcount.
If my computer crashes...I'm in deep trouble!

Re: Guestlist Question...
I used word. I did a table w/columns and rows. I did it like this:name/address/response/# of people. It worked well to have it all there. You can also put table # if you want. It has become like a security blanket, it's pretty funny! I don't go anywhere w/o it!! There is also an option that allows you to sort alphabetically(just put there last names first and first names last.

Re: Guestlist Question...
I know theknot.com has a guest list manager on it that seemed to be pretty good. You put all the info in there and it manages it for you. You can note whether people RSVP, keep track of gifts etc. I started to use it but then decided I'd just keep it in Excel...that was more convenient for me.

Re: Guestlist Question...
I am using Excel and it is so handy. I used a mail merge with Word for my envelopes, place cards, etc. I am tracking my gifts (wedding and shower), my responses, etc.If you do columns or a table in Word you can easiliy sort and alphabetize your list. Do you have yours in a table in Word? If so, I can tell you how to sort.
There are some bridal softwares out there too..that can do all of the above. A couple of my friends used them and loved them.

I used Excel and emailed a copy of everything to my mom and to myself at work- just in case (now it's on all our computers).

Re: Guestlist Question...
I created a table in word - you can alphabetize it by using the sort feature. Tell it what column you want to sort by and in what order (A-Z)

Re: Guestlist Question...
I used Excel ans well. Using the columns you can really get all the infor you need in there in a great format. I also backed it up on disc, so if anything ever happens, I will always have it..

Re: Guestlist Question...
Excel is a spreadsheet program made by Microsoft. (the same people who make Word). It is part of most versions of Microsoft Office.A spreadsheet is set up like a grid and you type things into rows and columns! You can save it, edit it, delete, change fonts, sort, etc. Makes it easier than re-writing that list, huh?
