Guestlist question

I just made my guestlist in excel and fh is requesting that I put in alphabetical order anyone reccomend a website program that you found helpful . tia

YOu can just select the names and hit the sort button and will do it for you. Do you need help just with that or did you want a different program bc you dont like excel? although excel should be most helpful bc it will do the most for you. Even if you want to change things around or look up something specific on your guestlist

You don't even need a fancy program...just use the sort descending feature. Highlight the column that has the last names (I'm assuming alphabetically by last name?) then hit the A-Z down arrow button on the tool bar. It will ask you if you want to expand the selection, and say yes, otherwise will just alphabetize the names but the addresses will stay in same position.

I have them written as Mr. and Mrs XXXXXX

i would still try it bc if you have Mr. and Mrs. on every name then since thats all the same the next thing they would do is go by last name and sort the last name.

it did it with the first names that i had written grrrrr.. i guess I will just make 3 columns last name and then both first names

yeah and then when you add the MR and MRs to it you can just sort again. Theres also pivot tables to separate the categories but dont think you even need to do that. Actually just leave it as is, the Mr and mrs. alphabetized and then names only, it will be fine no matter. Your fh has to get over the fact that its not completely alphabetized lol, if it bothers him that much tell him to do it lol jk

any other advice on columns , i did
last name, full names, adress, email address, phone, how many people in party, rsvp yes or no

i made it huge so i always have it can be our adress book as well

glad to hear it worked out. Sounds like you have it all covered, cant think of another column, you have all the info you need.
