Guests taking centerpieces

I was showing my FMIL our centerpieces and she asked if they guests are able to take them home. I don't mind them taking the flowers but the vases are being rented. I am concerned that our guests will just assume they could take them home.

How are you ladies handling this?

Guests taking centerpieces

I was just at a wedding where I hate to say some guests hid the centerpieces before the wedding was over :(

At our wedding the dj gave them away and announced it was the top only...we had no issues.

I think we are going to do some kind of funny contest or game(something simple and not corny) and have the MC announce that the winner gets the flowers

Re: Guests taking centerpieces

I was recently at a wedding where that was the situation exactly, and one of the staff came and told a guest that only the top part was to take. Maybe if you make your venue aware ahead of time they can prevent it? Everybody else seemed to be able to tell only the flowers on top were the part they can take. Hope this helps.

Have the DJ make an announcement and make your staff aware of it

Thank you ladies. I'll definitely be informing the venue to be on the lookout.
