Guests Taking CPs

So my father brought up a good point this morning, and now I have something else to worry about!

How would you tactfully let your guests know that they cannot take the CPs home if you have a rented stand? Besides just flat out putting a little sign at the base (totally tacky), or having the DJ announce it when they do the game to decide who 'wins' from each table (still a little tacky, but less so).

I love the stand that I'm probably going to go with, but I certainly don't love it enough to be liable for missing ones!

Maybe you can the dj make an annoucement right after the last dance. I have seen with high centerpieces that top part is easily removable. They can take only.

are you giving away the flowers? I guess you should have the DJ announce it if you are playing a game.

I've seen where the staff at the RH take it off the stand by the end of the night.

Yup! Usually the RH staff will take them off the stands and let your guests take the flowers.

THe 3 weddings that I went to this year, the DJ plays a game to see who wins the CP to take home, but when he introduces the game and the rules, he mentions that the stand/vase can not be taken. I won at 2 out of the 3 weddings and the waiters from the RH came over to the table and took the stand away.

I think having a nice little card on the table is not tacky at all..... you can make it look really cute or think of a cute poem to make it sound cute

I was just at a wedding Friday night and it the centerpieces were the gold twirly ones with the votives in them (if that helps in describing them). The flowers sat on top and when you took the flowers off the florist's name was on the stand... so I guess that also prevents guests from taking the stand.

Are you doing a program? Maybe you could put a little note in there. Or you could have another small gift to give away for the table game and then the DJ can announce that the CPs should be left on the table.
