Where are you having your guest upload any digital photos they take?
Photobucket, shutterfly, or somewhere else? Whats the difference between those two? I'm not really familiar with either

Re: Guests uploading photos to.....?
I've recently started researching this, and I want to use a website where you can download your guests' pictures in full resolution that way you can have them on your computer and print them wherever you want. I found a few like this but most cost $. Then I came across the Wedding Turtle and it's the same concept but free. I might go with this site...plus, they send you cards for free!

And I don't think your guests need to sign up or anything...which I'd imagine could turn some people off. I could be wrong on this though...

Oh cool...I will have to check that out! So it's similar to snapfish, and photobucket, and all those, but minus sign up?

I'm not sure if Shutterfly & Snapfish allow you (or your guests) to download the full resolution picture from the site.

Full resolution? Meaning? I'm not always good with technical terms...lol.
Any pics that they take with their own camera, I just want uploaded to one place. Not the professional wedding photos from my photographer.

Re: Guests uploading photos to.....?
Sorry! When you upload pictures to sites such as Shutterfly, etc. and share the album with people, the pictures are compressed into a smaller size. So if you were to download the picture from the website, the picture is not high quality (or not the full resolution). If it was full resolution, then it would be like you have the original picture on your computer and not a lower quality version.
You'd want that this if you want to edit the pictures or make them a bigger size to print.

Ahhhh I get it...lol. How does that work with ordering the prints though from the websites...would that effect ordering the prints? regular size?

Re: Guests uploading photos to.....?
i made a sharesite with shutterfly and made up cards and they were put on the tables and NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON uploaded a picture... everyone did their own thing... FB, their own shutterfly, snapfish, kodak gallery, etc...

Yea I think I did the same thing as a guest. My friend didnt give us a formal address...just by word of mouth. AT least it will put the idea in their head even if they don't go through with it. Making them myself...so not really a huge expense. Just some paper. lol

This was the feedback I was hearing - so I didn't make cards to put on the tables but I did create a Shutterfly website.
The people who take pictures will either email it to you or put them on FB. The ones who are going to take a huge amount will be the ones that email them to you or give them to you on a disk. At least that was my experience.
