Guests who are nursing

Guests who are nursing

I have a guest coming in from out of town who will be nursing her 8 month old infant. The baby will not be at the wedding, and she has asked me to find her a babysitter. How do I handle this? Has anyone else experienced this? Does the babysitter hang out with the baby in a back room at the wedding, or do they stay at the hotel?

I would say if you trust them to have them stay at the hotel. Of course it's up to 'mom' but I would suggest asking someone you know (since you are recomending this person) not someoue you 'found' and just have them stay back at the hotel that way 'mom' can have fun.

Do you have any family members or friends (their kids??) that are capable of watching a baby?? They could stay up in the bridal suite??

I would have her pump...and have the babysitter hand with baby at the hotel. Make sure it is someone you trust ofcourse...but IMHO its what best for baby, or any child at any age...and whether mom will be able to enjoy herself

haha yea...this way the 'mom' could even just go upstairs to feed and come back down if she didnt pump.

Thanks. Yeah, I thought of that...I actually am going to hire the Royalton sitter for my sisters 4 kids. I dont want to overwhelm her with another baby, though... I'd rather not have the baby at the Royalton since I am not offering it to other guests that might have kids. I guess I will need to contact the mother and see what she has in mind.
