I actually read in The Sun yesterday that he may be running in 2008!

His speech was great last night, although I sometimes wasn't sure if I was watching the RNC or Comedy Central

I thought he came across as very warm, human and likeable, and who knew he was so funny? I thought he went too long and was rambling at times - but the moments where he gave a picture of what it was like at ground zero, working with the construction workers/rescue workers, etc. was very moving and evocative.

It really annoyed me that all the speeches focused only on 'the war on terror' and not the party's platform or anything else, but it also annoyed me that the first night of the democratic convention focused only on Kerry's vietnam record.

i told FH this morning i actually liked guiliani BEFORE he opened his mouth last night

mccain, now THAT's a different story - mccain would get my vote...

It really annoyed me that all the speeches focused only on 'the war on terror' and not the party's platform or anything else, but it also annoyed me that the first night of the democratic convention focused only on Kerry's vietnam record.

I thought it was a great speech. I think Rudy definitely plans on running in 2008.

By the way, I believe each night of the convention has a theme....last night was terrorism and the next few nights will be about other issues. So, other issues will be discussed.

I would vote for him!!

He did a great job!

I do not consider myself either Republican nor Democrat, but I just love Rudy. I think he was one of THE BEST mayors ever to hold office in NYC, and would love to see him go further in his political endeavors.

I think we ALL admire him for his amazing calm and the strength that he showed during those days that followed 9/11.. He was everything this city needed to get through that time, and I think all of us were lucky that he was in office when that tragic even occurred.

But make no mistakes about it -- humor or not, and no matter how warm he came across last night .. he is a tough cookie.

Rudy was an attorney (before he went into public service) at the lawfirm I worked at for 10 years prior to my present job .. I did not know him personally, but people who DID know him told me he was TOUGH and yes, even QUITE DIFFICULT to work with.. however, he was truly respected and well liked nonetheless

Those are pretty good qualities for ANY politician!! I think he would make an excellent president - though I'm not quite certain he'd be elected

How could one speech make you not like him ...Personally I think it was fantastic and uplifting.
