Guilty -sorry long

On Friday night I went to my friends surprise 30 birthday, I saw people who I knew from high school, but I have not really seen in a few years They where original on my list of guest to invite but FH list was so long that I cut them , now after seeing them I really want to invite them FH told me to sent them invites. My wedding is in 17 days. Also we have about 10 single people who are not taking a guest so I could really have sent them invites so I really feel bad.
It would be 4 invites with guest so only 8 people ( 3 of them are in a relationship). Oh of course they want to know when the wedding was and all the info, and they where asking me how ( all 4 of them lol)my mom was and they wish my sister came to the party they would to like to see her , one of the girls was close to my sister.
Now my questions
Would you be insulted if you got an invite 3 weeks before a wedding way past the RSVP date ? Should I attach a letter inside saying how I really hope u can come it was so nice seeing you guys?
OH I already have the invites printed with their address on it !

They all live in Queens ( so do I) so they would rec've them within the next 2 days!

I invited a few people from work pretty late (close to the wedding) and I just talked to them about it and explained how I always wanted to invite them but due to the expense had to wait and see how my responses were from family first. They totally understood, and I was glad they came.

I'm sure your friends will understand, considering you hadn't seen them in years. It's not like they reached out to ask you about your wedding planning before happening to see you at this party the other day. It's not a big deal to get an invite that close to the main event, and I'm sure they'll be delighted you've invited them in the end.

You can also call your single friends and ask them if they want to bring someone. I didn't invite anyone 'and guest' but spoke to each individually and told them to bring guests if they want, just to let me know.

i received an invite after the RSVP date once. the couple hand delivered it to me & explained the situation. (the expense of it all & too many unexpected No's). it did not bother me at all. & now that i am wedding planning i completely understand.
