hi. i need to find an acoustic guitarist for my ceremony music. i remember a post about trying the college music depts - does anyone have any other suggestions? since its only for the ceremony, i don't want to spend hundreds of dollars. and does anyone know how i should go about contacting the schools - do i call the music dept head or should i go to the school and post a note in the dept? thanks!

As for going to the schools, I would call first - why go all over the place, when a phone call might do the trick. Call each music dept. and ask if they have a board where you can post employment opportunities. Then see if you can fax over or mail something advertising your needs and contact information, which they can hang up for you. Or they may know of students looking to play weddings and such, and can provide you with names. Other than that, I know that many DJ companies will offer different packages, including music for the ceremony. But you said you didn't want to spend hundreds, and I'm not exactly sure if that's what they would charge... I probably didn't help you much, but I tried. Sorry! :(
