Guitarist for ceremony

Guitarist for ceremony

My uncle has offered to play the music for our ceremony. He is a professional guitartist and is very talented, but I've never seen this before and I'm not totally sure how it will sound. Has anyone ever been to a wedding with just a guitartist? I think it would be a more personal touch than using a recording but I'm looking for some other opinions.

Re: Guitarist for ceremony

I had 3 guitarists play during my ceremony. I had so many compliments from my guests. It sure beats a CD player.
Just one thing though. Make sure your uncle has a sound system so that everyone can here the music. My guitarist didn't have a very powerful amp but the room wasn't that big. They played classical music so having the light music kinda fits in the mood. Maybe it was just me because I didn't hear the music at all walking down the aisle. I think I was nervous. I heard it in my wedding video and it was beautiful. Guitar is the way to go!
