GULP got the invitation proof!

GULP got the invitation proof!

Looks fine and only one wording change but why am I so nervous?!?!

My wedding is August 4th...is June 30 too soon for RSVP? I figured I should add another week since I'm going to be out of town for two weeks before the wedding, so I want everything done a bit early. That's not a big deal right?

AAAHH Why am I so nervous and wound up about this? It feels like such a HUGE decision!!!

i think that RSVP date is fine. honeslty, no matter what date you put on there...you still will have guests who ignore it and you have to chase them down. so the earlier the better! we had our rsvp date about 5 wks beforehand and i was chasing ppl up to the week OF the wedding!

Maybe you're nervous b/c this makes it REAL!! Once the invites go out, there's no turning back.

I don't think June 30 is too early. That's about a month before, and when you factor in vacations and the 4th of July, it makes sense to have an early RSVP. My RSVP date is 6 weeks before, b/c I also know I'm going to have to track down slacker relatives who don't respond.

Mine is five weeks before, so your RSVP date is fine. No matter what date you put people are going to be slow to send them in.

Have someone else proof the invite for you outside of you or fh. As a graphic designer working at a print shop so far two brides have messed up on their invitations because they are not really reading the proof. Even for myself I have someone else check things if at all possible because what your reading sometimes is not whats on that paper. Hard to explain.

Re: GULP got the invitation proof!

The invitations were the hardest for me.....picking them, choosing the wording, the font, the font color, etc. I drove FH crazy over this one decision & then thought why am i getting so nuts.....most times when i get an invitation i look at the key points: names, the date & where it is. People aren't really gonna' remember my invitation years from now so don't stress !

I thought that but nah...I was really freaking because I don't want to regret the decisions I made on the fonts and invites! I'm so scared it'll look lame or something. But I'm lame for worrying!

My friends at work checked it out and I guess I was really more concerned with having all block font for the reception/response card. I worried it was too blah...but their point was, the invitation is the fancy/important part anyway. And I love how the invite came out (I did block lettering for text and script for our names) ! I just hope I won't want to change it when I see the reception/response card in all block letters officially printed on the cards...

Okay, I'm gonna fax back the proof now!! Crossing fingers that I'll be happy with what I get back!!!

Thanks everyone!!
