I am having a lot of trouble with our guest list.. and im just about ready to cry and/or elope!
Heres my problem... Origionally we said we would invite kids becuase all my guests are OOT and i want them to be able to attend. origionally an easy solution.
but, that turned into a problem when i started to realize that the age of kids became a problem. For example, my parents friends have 2 kids who are adults, older than me, 1 is married. Do we invite them or not?
Or, we are inviting a family friend who has 3 kids and I only know 1 of them, obviously i cant invite just 1 so i would rather invite none... but if i dont invite thier kids I cant invite the kids of family friends I do know and am close with right??
So... we thought that We would invite family kids and not friends no matter the age. But then my mom wants to invite the kids of a family that is 'like' family becuase we are close with all of them.... but they arent really family. My sisters and I were IN all thier weddings and now they have kids... but i feel bad making an exception?
uhhh sorry so long, I need some help from someone who can be objective. I want to invite kids so its not an option to just say no kids.
any other ideas? thank you!

Re: gunna loose my mind!
maybe just invite the younger ones that u know the parents cant get a sitter for..i mean the kids of your parenst that r adults if u r not close to them i dont see why u have to invite those.as for the one with 3,i agree i dont think u can invite one w/o the other 2 they might get offended..i def think u should invite the ones that u r like family with..i mean just because its not blood dosent mean they r not close with u even closer than some who r blood..i hope this helps

2 ways to look at this, no kids under a certain age, or only kids living in the house. If you are thinking about a travel situation, someone can travle without their 25 year old.

I would invite adult kids that you're friends with yourself and all of the kids who are under 18. Then you're inviting the adults as friends and not as family friends. HTH! That's a sticky situation you've got there.

do not get frustrated please!!! peeople that dont know you (kids that are married older etc) do not want to come to a strangers wedding, pay money and waste a weekend.... just invite families and i promise people you would not want/dont know will not come..the only people that wil bring kids/people you dont know are very few they dont want to be stuck babysitiing
