Re: GW Manor
My commencement ball at C.W. Post was held a G.W. Manor. Although that was six years ago, I remember having a great time (the main ballroom is nice)!!! The grounds in the back are also beautiful if you are looking for photo opps!

Re: GW Manor
GWM was my second choice for the RH. Since we were getting married in December, the cocktail space wasn't ideal for us but if you can use the outside, it would have been perfect. We also did a tasting and everything was yummy. I had worked with Judy and I highly recommend. Also, it has a lower minimum (even for a saturday night) since the place in general is on the smaller side.
Definitely check it out!

Re: GW Manor
Went to a wedding there in oct 2008, it was in their smaller room-maybe 50 guests max. I thought the food was good; small bar set up in the room; not really any dancing b/c of the size. But it was nice for what they were doing.

Re: GW Manor
I've been to George Washington Manor, and the food is great. I went there recently to plan a small party, and i was told they are now under new ownership. There is a new party menu, so I would think they have a new wedding menu, and they told me the food is even better now than it was before. The sample menu I was given for the party had items like filet mignon on it, when before GW Manor would have things like sirloin steak. I would imagine their wedding menu would be amazing.
Definitely check them out, and ask for Judy, she's great!

My office holiday party is at the Irish Pub and the food is always delicious. We actually book the place a year in advance to make sure we get it. Definitely check them out.

My moms friend had her daughters wedding at GWM and just raves about it. They are under new ownership. I've been talking with Lila at GWM and she has been nothing but helpful. Their menu has SOOO much to offer! I haven't been there to visit yet, but I am definitely going to!

Re: GW Manor
Ive been to both and they are both amazing. I like the irish coffee pub more as a fancy dinner than a function though and george washington manor is old and historic but they have great food and service.

Re: GW Manor
I keep hearing good things but when I look up ratings they are horrible. It looked great from the website and would be just the right size. Who Knows!!!!

Re: GW Manor
I live right near GW Manor, and everytime I pass it on a Friday or Saturday night it is dead. Do they even still do weddings there? I know they're under new management, so maybe theyre just doing some renovations. A colleague of mine is getting married at Irish Coffee Pub next month. She is having a smaller wedding (about 50-60 people), but she raves about it and the food!

Re: GW Manor
I'm only having about maybe 75 people so I'm trying to stay away from huge halls. Irish Coffee Pub didn't look like it was horrible, it was on that My fair Wedding show season 1.
