Gym question.

Gym question.

I found a gym down the block from my house. It's $52 a month and includes all of the classes (Zumba, kickboxing, etc), sauna, etc. I know it's a good price since all are included, but I can't help but feel like $52 a month is a lot!! Any opinions? Thanks!

that is a really good price. i belong to NYSC and have a passport membership paying $74/month. if i didn't work in the city i'd prob join somewhere else.

Michelle, it's Matrix. See I have a Planet Fitness membership on Long Island. The one in Astoria doesn't have any parking, and I'm not sure how easy it is to get to via public transit. How do you go?

I go to New York Health and Racquet Club in Great Neck and it's $50 a month.

I'll keep you posted! I just have to transfer my membership from Long Island to Astoria online. Where do you park? Just on a side street? It always seems nuts over there!

I pay $10 a month at Planet Fitness. The cheapest I found so far. They don't offer classes though

Its a good price. Damn gyms are so expensive. I wish the president could force them to lower rates, like $30/mth is the max and gyms can lower to compete but not higher!. Ahhhh, a girl can dream!

I THINK IF THE CLASSES ARE THE MOST APPEALING PART OF THE MEMBERSHIP FOR YOU, YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT REALISTICALLY HOW MANY CLASSES YOU WOULD TAKE ON A WEEKLY BASIS AND PRICE OUT THE MONTHLY GYM MEMBERSHIP FEE VERSUS A PER CLASS FEE.

SIDE NOTE, I WORK ON STEINWAY, THE PLANET FITNESS THERE IS VERY NICE. YOU COULD PROBABLY FIND A TIME TO GO TO AVOID THE RUSHES/MOBS OF PEOPLE.

I think if the classes are included then it's a good price. I pay $20 a month at my local gym and classes are seperate.

That's a good price for having classes included. If you are planning to take them then it's worth it. If not you can find gyms for way cheaper without classes.

do you have insurance? Most insurance companys give you back your $ if you go a certain amount of times

I pay $40 a month for NYSC, but I can only go to the Deer Park location. It has Zumba, Spinning, Kickboxing, and a bunch of other classes as well as a baksetball court, sauna, showers, pool, chil care, personal training. It's usually relatively quiet since it only opened up when they opened the Deer Park Tanger Outlets.
