I'm thinking about joining Lucille Roberts and I've heard they have really good classes (Zumba, toning, etc) My MOH and mom joined but they live a half hour away so unfortuntaly I have to self-motivate join and go. I live in West Babylon and debating about which location to join.
Any of you girls go to lucille roberts and which one? Would you recommend Lucille? (sorry, for the 3 questions at once, lol)

i dont know about the specific location you plan to go to, however i know the one by me (in forest hills) is always PACKED you have to sign in and wait for most cardio machines - its a pain!

I was a member at Lucille Roberts in Plainview about 5 years ago and only went twice because I hated it! All the machines were in a dark basement type area and old....I now go to LA Fitness in New Hyde Park and love it!!!

Re: Gyms?
If I joined a gym again it would def be Lucille's.... the only reason why I haven't joined is because the hours aren't great for me.
I was a member of Lucille's in Massapequa in College and loved it... great classes, nice equipment- LOVED it!! & so reasonably priced!

Re: Gyms?
I'm not a big fan of Lucille Roberts. I don't think they have great hours (at least not for me) and you always have to wait for treadmills and other equipment (plus, you can only staly on the treadmills, etc. for 30 minuntes at a time.) But if the hours work for you, the prices are great. If your in W. Babylon, you might want to check out Fitness Incentive - definitley more pricey, but GREAT classes and very motivational instructors.

Re: Gyms?
I go to lucilles. I go to both commack and Bayshore depending on the day and the classes. I live in the middle of both.
As far as machines go, yes, they are always occupied, but i mainly go for just the classes anyway so it doesnt bother me. The classes are great, and I only pay 24 bucks a month for as many classes as I want...cant beat that.
I used to go to massapequa when I lived in Farmingdale and I liked that location as well. If you live in WB, I would say you could do either bayshore or massapequa, probably the same in either direction?

ME TOO !!! (like exactly this!!!!) i'll also was a member in rockville centre, which was slightly better because the cardio equipment was upstairs. i also hated their hours b/c i like to hit the gym in the AM and they only open at 8 a.m. and they close at like 9 (or 1 on the weekends - seriously?!!!). i needed more flexibility for time.
i enjoyed Lucille Roberts for the classes and that was it. if you can find classes you like and will attend regularly then it's great. i actually made friends with some of the regulars and when i missed a class they would ask me where i was or yell at me for not coming (total motivation).
ETA: BTW why do you need to go the gym??!!!!!! you are so tiny!!!!!
